AS | MAG is a literary extension of AS | Artists Studios and presents works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and art in an online journal format that is published every 2 months.

AS | MAG is less about what is up, on view and more about what is down,  packed away.  The magazine welcomes writings  that engage all aspects of fine art. 

Musings about artists, artworks,  art history, art scenes or art movements and art genres are of  interest.  

Past examples can be seen in the writings of authors such as  John Ashbery, W.H. Auden, James Baldwin, Charles Baudelaire, John  Berger, T.S. Eliot, William Gass, Langston Hughes, Thomas Mann, Maurice  Merleau-Ponty, Marcel Proust, Émile Zola and Stefan Zweig.

Reading periods are April 1 to May 31, June 1 to July 31, August 1 to September 30, October 1 to November 30, December 1 to January 30, February 1 to March 30.
